Admissions

Admission of Pupils to the School

The admission of pupils to the school will normally take place following the completion of the Assessment Procedure, leading to a Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP).

The school accepts pupils at any time during the academic year following Local Authority procedures for referral.  A place will be offered by the Local Authority if the needs of the child can be met by Chiltern Wood School.

All parents of prospective pupils will be invited to visit the school, to view our classes and facilities, and to discuss the work of the school with the Headteacher or Deputy Head.  If you would like to arrange a visit please contact the school by phone or complete the form attached below and return it to either school office.

Transport

Daily transport to school is arranged by Buckinghamshire County Council, Special Educational Needs Transport team at County Hall, Aylesbury and not by the school. Children  who meet the criteria can be transported in buses or taxis with other children attending our school who live in the same area. Most assisted transport has a driver and a passenger escort.
