Pupil Premium Grant Statement

What is Pupil Premium?

The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

Pupil premium funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, such as special schools and pupil referral units.

What is Sports Premium?

We are required to use this funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of the physical education (PE), physical activity and sport we provide.

We are expected to use the PE and sport premium to:

• develop or add to the PE, physical activity and sport that your school provides
• build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years
