Speech & Language Therapy
We support pupils to develop their language, communication, speech, and social interaction skills.
We also work with some pupils who have difficulties with eating, drinking and swallowing, to help keep them safe and maintain/develop their skills.
Therapy is provided in an integrated way with parents, carers, school staff and other professionals. We work with pupils in class groups, in pairs, and individually. We mainly work in school but occasionally work with pupils at home and in the community.
We use a wide range of interventions, tools and strategies to support each pupil in reaching their communication potential, as well as a Total Communication Approach to ensure that we can introduce the best combination of communication methods for each pupil.
